Here are some innovation resources I hadn't gotten around to posting yet, that you may not have seen. My apologies if youve already clicked this, read that!
- Managing Business Innovation, a 65-slide presentation by Mohan Sawhney of Northwestern. Great intro to the topic includes: defining business innovation; academic perspectives on business innovation; how companies organize for business innovation; case studies on business innovation archetypes; best practices in organizing for innovation.
- The Conference Board, the folks that bring you the consumer confidence and leading economics reports (among many other things), has a Council on Innovation. This network of senior innovation executives responsible for innovation meets several times a year to discuss such topics as Top Leaderships View of Innovation, How Companies Commercialize Ideas, Funding Early Stage Development and Working With Your Customer to Drive Innovation.
- European managers continue to invest in innovation, reveals "Innovation in 2002: experience and priorities of European managers, also known as the Innobarometer report. This report is compiled yearly by the European Commission from a survey designed to reveal the opinions of European managers on their companies strengths and needs in innovation, the investments in innovation and the output achieved, as well as the actual practice of co-operation and sharing of knowledge. In addition, it looked at the role of training and education, the development of managerial approaches to innovation and the contribution of enterprises to the public debate on innovation. It also aimed at assessing how the Single Market can be of further benefit to companies in the European Union. The survey was done in September 2002, the report released in March 2003, and the .PDF file can be downloaded here.
